Eye Makeup Made for a Duchess

Galmour reports:

"Kate Middleton (or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, as I'm not quite used to calling her) made a ring of eyeliner look downright dainty at the royal wedding of the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips and rugby player Mike Tindall over the weekend. Here's how she did it.

First, she didn't go for jet-black eyeliner pencil. The lighting's a little iffy here, but it looks like a dark gray as opposed to a real black. Or perhaps it was a black-brown. Either way, it wasn't a blacker-than-the-blackest-thing-ever pencil, which softened the look up a bit.

Second, the liner on her lower lids isn't on the inner rim--it's just outside of it. This not only makes her eyes look bigger, but it keeps the look from getting too sultry on her.

And third, she didn't add anything shimmery, which would have made it more night-time, and clearly, this was taken in the daytime. A wise decision."
