More Kate Looks For Less

Yesterday I suggested different options for how a person could emulate Kate's Mulberry Polly Push Lock skirt outfit. I've written similar posts since this blog began, but I'm going to try to make it more of a habit.

So here it goes!

Another outfit that the Duchess has been spotted in this month, was one she was seen wearing while shopping at Tesco recently. Here are some pictures:

From what I can see here Kate is dressed (obviously) very simply. I think that those are black (or very dark) jeans, and she's paired them with her famous trademark boots and a simple cowlneck sweater.

Here is what I suggest purchasing, if you would like to achieve a similar look to Kate's here.

Gap recently came out with a great pair of "lightweight skinny boot" jeans, in black and other assorted colours. The material is somewhat stretchy, so very comfortable and very flattering. When on, these jeans do very much resemble Kate's jeans shown in the pictures above. However, if you are looking for skinny jeans, which Kate does wear - and she might be wearing here - Gap also carries black skinny jeans as well. Kate in general is seen to wear black denim frequently, now and in the past few years. They are very versatile and good to have in any wardrobe I would think. The jeans below cost $79.95 from Gap.

A similar item, to the sweater Kate is seen wearing above, can be purchased from Banana Republic. The item (below) is $95.00.

Also, Kate is seen to frequently wear white tops (or lighter tops in general) with black denim. For instance, see the pictures below. The top here appears to be a v-neck, and a similar version can be purchased also at Zara for as low as $19.90!

Kate is seen wearing (in probably both pictures above), her famous Aquatalia Cookie Boots, but you could find a similar pair practically anywhere - like at Steve Madden; try looking at the "Candence" boots.

And there you have it!

  1. Very Nice blog post - loved it. I've not actually got that jeans etc, really struggle with comfort! Needing to add different colour to my collection, started to achieve this with boots/sandals until the change of weather - but now need to start on my Black Light Weight Skinny Jeans.
