It's been a busy week for Pippa and James Middleton this week! Last night both siblings attended Waitrose's Summer Party (Pippa is now writing for the grocery market's magazine).
I thought Pippa looked quite nice in her pinky/peach dress. She also wore the same heels we saw her wearing on the weekend and the previous evening. Those Middleton girls love to recycle what they have, it's very refreshing!
The only thing I didn't love was the fact that Pippa's clutch seemed to be a nude patent leather, whereas her shoes are more of a tan colour. I could be wrong about the colour of the shoe - the Daily Mail seems to think they are peach. But if they are tan, I somehow feel as though it's wrong to pair tan and nude colours together... they're almost too close but too different to pair together. I know that Pippa and Kate don't always match their bags to their shoes, but they seem to make sure that they are never similar enough to look like just a miss either.
I also would like to comment (here it comes again) on Pippa's hair colour. There are some photos here where it seems to me that she's dyed her hair! And then in other pictures (with better light) that it looks like her normal colour. But sometimes darker dyes can play tricks like that. In certain lights they look like a better or very similar version to your "normal" colour, but in other lights they look like a badly done dye job. I used to feel this way about Kate's hair colour about a year ago. It would do this.
So I don't know, I'll just say I don't know :)

Buckingham Palace Garden Party 2013
Today the annual Buckingham Palace Garden Party took place - with, of course, the Queen, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge presiding over the event.
I wasn't blown away by the Emilia Wicksteed coat that Kate wore, but she wore it well for sure. I am a fan of Kate's hat though, I think it always looks very nice on her! And I thought Camilla looked lovely. I like her in those silvery tones.

UPDATED: Has Pippa Dyed Her Hair?
In my last post I wrote that I suspected that Pippa had died her hair a darker shade of brown. Although Pippa natural hair colour is medium/darker chesnut, the picture in the Daily Mail looks quite a lot darker. I realize that it's dark out in the photo, but even the flash isn't picking up the colour of her hair as it has in the past - even against a black dress.
Take a look at the photos that I've compiled and judge for yourself. I've tried to use photos that show Pippa's hair against black as much as possible.
The picture in question is the first.
I just scrolled down this other article concerning Pippa's night out, and I found some more pictures. After seeing them, I have decided that I don't think her hair colour has changed afterall. Take a look.
Note: Pippa does NOT look pleased to be getting her picture taken! I wonder if we rarely see Nico out with her for this very reason? He must not like having his picture taken, or I get that feeling given his expressions (what's with that?) and Pippa's unusual reaction to the photographers.

I could be dead wrong, but Pippa's hair colour in the first picture really stood out to me. And in the picture directly above my writing here shows the same tanned skin, close enough to some black in her dress, but it just looks more natural and more like what we're used to seeing Pippa's hair colour look like - or at least I think so.
If Pippa has dyed her hair, I assume we will know soon enough when we see some pictures of her in the daylight. And to me it's just a very slightly different and darker shade than what I think she naturally has. So it doesn't really stand out as all that big of a change. But I did notice something was amiss :)

Princess Eugenie, Pippa and James Middleton and Co.
The Daily Mail has published pictures of Princess Eugenie, Pippa and James Middleton and their respective dates out on the town last night.
Pippa and her boyfriend, Nico Jackson, looked VERY tanned! In fact, I thought that Nico looked particularly awful with so much of a tan, and even Pippa was having a hard time pulling it off in my opinion. But I liked her dress, and I noticed that she wore the same heels and bag that she accessorised with on the weekend at a friend's wedding. I do like the shoes a lot.
I would also like to comment that I think that Pippa's hair colour might have changed... it looks a bit darker than it normally does, especially against her black dress. I'm going to try to find some pictures to back up my suspicion and I will do a separate post.

Decorating Kensington Palace: Kate Out and About in London
I just read about this on the HRH Duchess Kate blog, the photos are from E!Online.
Kate was out and about in London last week obviously on the hunt for decor for her soon to be new apartment in Kensington Palace! I think it would be a lot of fun to decorate such a space, and have the time and the money to do it!

I love how effortless Kate looks in these photos. She's slightly cuffed her jeans, the shoes are trendy, but not overtly so, and I love the jacket and the scarf. Her hair is done in an interesting way too. I hope that if I'm ever expecting I can look just as good! I think being as tall as Kate really helps - and she was and is in very good shape. Which I'm sure also makes a huge difference!

I have to say that I don't like how the author of the article refers to Kate as "the royal star". She's not a celebrity. She's a senior member of the Royal Family. A celebrity, in my mind anyway, refers to an actor or a singer. Kate is just a high profile individual. To apply to term celebrity to her or any other member of the Royal Family makes them seem tacky and does not give them the respect that they deserve. How's that for an opinion? :)
I also don't care for some of the other terms that they use in this article either, like "hubby", refering to Prince William, or "Mama-to-be". Gross. E!Online is so Hollywood, and to me their style just doesn't suit anything they report on regarding the royals.

Pippa Attends Friend's Wedding
The Daily Mail reported that Pippa Middleton attended a friend's wedding over the weekend.
I think Pippa looked really nice in this cream dress by Tory Burch! She looked very elegant and very put together! Pippa's bag seemed to contain a bit of electric yellow, I could be mistaken though, which added some punch and showed her more creative take on fashion. But it all seemed to work.
I thought the braid in her hair was quirky, but I didn't mind it. I also thought that her makeup looked pretty too - it seems like she didn't have as much eyeliner around her eyes and she just looked softer. I noticed that she didn't seem as tanned as she sometimes is too.
If you are looking to get a safe tan this summer, and don't want to pay the premium for a spray tan, Clarins makes a really good product. I bought it a few weeks ago and when I put a sample of it on the colour was really nice and it didn't look fake. I will be trying it all over soon. I think I might also try the "Pretend TAN" towels, I've read about them recently. I think the tan develops almost immediately and it's also supposed to look natural and last for a while.
